79% of trips are up to 7 days; every third one is up to 3 days. Important for EU destinations: the EHIC covers only emergency care in state hospitals under local conditions - without repatriation, private clinics, dental care or luggage.
The most common coverage choice - 55% of travellers. This is also the requirement for a Schengen visa.
27% choose 10 000 € (neighbouring countries), 55% - 30 000 €, 18% - 50 000 € (long-haul and long trips). The price difference between the levels is smaller than expected.
