Motorist liability insurance covers the liability of motor vehicle owners and drivers for bodily injuries caused by their fault and/or death and/or material damage to third parties.

Coatings

For events that occurred on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria:

for non-property and property damages as a result of bodily injury or death - BGN 10 420 000 for each event, regardless of the number of injured persons;
for damage to property (things) - BGN 2 100 000 for each event, regardless of the number of injured persons.

In the case of events occurring on the territory of a member state of the European Union, the minimum limits of liability applicable in the respective member state apply to the territory in which the insured event occurred, according to its law, or the coverage according to the law of the territory where the motor vehicle is usually located vehicle when this coverage is higher.

Validity

Motorist liability insurance is valid on the territory of the countries that are members of the European Union, the European Economic Area and those signed the Multilateral Agreement "Green Card" (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Great Britain, Germany, Greece, Denmark, Estonia, Ireland, Iceland, Spain, Italy, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Hungary, Finland, France, Netherlands, Croatia, Czech Republic, Sweden, plus Andorra, Serbia and Switzerland).

For the other countries that are members of the "Green Card" agreement - Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Belarus, Macedonia, Israel, Iran, Moldova, Morocco, Russia, Tunisia, Turkey, Ukraine, Montenegro and Azerbaijan are issued a free Green Card certificate, which extends the insurance coverage to be valid in these countries.

Civil liability insurance is concluded for a period of one year.

Necessary documents

When concluding Civil Liability Insurance, it is necessary to provide a copy of the vehicle registration certificate (coupon) to the insurers, who require it.

The green card is an international certificate for Civil Liability, which certifies whether the motor vehicle has a valid Civil Liability and whether the policy covers the territory of the respective country.

For countries that are members of the European Union and the European Economic Area, the certificate is not required. There is no border control and is not required upon entry the territory of the respective country.

A green card certificate is mandatory when traveling in all other countries that are members of the "Green Card" agreement. The document is required when passing through the border, during a road inspection or when an accident occurs.

Method of payment

Bank Card: Payment is made at the virtual POS of First Investment Bank. The security of the payment is guaranteed by the bank and the insurance broker does not have access to the card details. In case of deferred payment, the bank automatically withholds the next installments.

Upon delivery:One-time payment - made by cash on delivery when the insurance policy, sticker and all the rest are delivered to you documents by courier. Payment of installments - made by cash on delivery when the sticker for the corresponding pay period is delivered to you.

Getting a policy

The policy, the sticker (a piece of a sign) and all the necessary documents are sent free of charge to the address you specify, within 3 working days after the payment is made.

When paying in installments, deliveries of the sticker (piece of a sign) are made after payment of the next installment and are free of charge.
